Amica gala supports Helping Hands

Amica Dinner for Helping Hands

Carol Brown, Executive Director of the Helping Hands program and Colin Hallwell, Amica COO.

“An Evening of Delicious Amusement”– fine dining, music, magic, mime, and an auction — brought Amica staff, volunteers and corporate partners together for a good cause this fall in Toronto.

After starting in one residence, the Helping Hands Community Program designed to bring a better quality of life for marginalized seniors, has spread across Amica nationally. Registered as a charity in 2003, it has raised over $600,000 so far. The program sponsors holiday gift baskets as well as supplying equipment for seniors’ centres that support those in need.

The gala evening was a new addition to golf tournaments and year around fund-raising efforts.
