An insightful article that most can relate to, I'm sure! The book "Crucial Conversations" by Patterson, Grenny, McMillan, Switzer provides more insight into this topic. It gives great examples, explanations - all easy to follow! I recommend it highly.

Your development looks beautiful. What an incredible view! Please get in touch in the New Year if you'd like to do some writing for Dialogue Plus. It would be great to have some perspective on senior living in Newfoundland.

Excellent point. There is a very real move in the marketplace toward the kinds of communities you describe. We need to be thinking much more along those lines if we want to interest the resident of the future.

If the presenters are accurate about the preferences and demands of today's independent living seniors, and I believe that they are, I question if the candidates discussed are those who we "want" to attract into our communities as opposed to those that we "will" attract. We all must begin to diversify our housing and service offerings toward intergenerational, living and healing environments in addition to our current products of age-restricted campuses that isolated consumers from lifelong social networks.

Great to hear you espouse the merits of the SPIN selling methodology for retirement home sales. I absolutely agree that this type of formal sales methodology when combined with the appropriate activity levels and sales person competency can make a real deference to occupancy levels at a home.

You are a wonderful person, Stan Hindmarch.
I followed the Global News story about that inter-city grammer school needing $10k to install playground equipment. I envy your generosity. You are a very good man, and our family is proud to have you as a member of our Lower Mainland community.

God love you, Stan.

With all the advances in traditional medicine and a whole industry devoted to the health and well being of baby boomers and seniors, looks like we are definately heading in the right direction. When we hear people say that 60 is the new 40 I agree with them and say it's not an age thing, it's a life stage and health stage thing. Age really is just a number with today's mature adults and I think thats the way it should be.
